Terre de Vignerons, the excellence of Bordeaux and the passion for its region

Terre de Vignerons is the production and commercialization union for fifteen cooperative wine cellars in the Entre-deux-Mers (Gironde, 33) and Duras (Lot-et- Garonne, 47) regions.

Beyond its profession, Terre de Vignerons represents a multitude of tales, families, lands, wines... and is proud to carry, both on national and international scenes, the cooperative values : human solidarity, authenticity, performance and conviviality.

Terre de Vignerons, a simple name, yet true and evocative: a tool that reflects our winegrowers and remains at their service.

A history built around the cooperative

It's in the 30s that the wine cooperative was founded, presented as a solution facing the crisis and a way of saving the vineyards, thanks to mutual technical and human means.
The winegrowers came together under cooperative wine cellars. 3 decades later, the cooperative crossed another stage; that of making mutual production means.

Thus, Prodiffu and Union Saint Vincent saw the day, as bottling units at the service of numerous cooperative wine cellars. Prodiffu went even further by combining trade means.

2012 was another turning point, when the two units came together under the same evocative banner Terre de Vignerons.

Bearing the cooperative basics and turned towards the future, it's by uniting our talents that we are now considered as one of the first French cooperative groups.

The vineyards, our landscapes, source of life

Put one foot in our region and without a doubt you will be on a Terre de Vignerons (Land of Winegrowers)... the valleys are covered with vines, which live and breathe following the seasons.

Our Terre de Vignerons is composed of over 15.000 ha of vines, meaning over 150km² ! The vineyards are never-ending, yet never the same.

In fact, each is composed of various grape varieties, which can be differentiated by their characteristics. Depending on the land it is based on each vineyard produces different appellations : Bordeaux, Bordeaux Superieur, Côtes de Duras, Entre-deux-Mers, Cadillac, Côtes de Bordeaux, Crémant de Bordeaux, Graves, Ste Foy Bordeaux, IGP Atlantique...

The winegrowers, our reason to be

Winegrower, the best job in the world ? We think so !

Winegrowers from generation to generation, their vineyards are passed down and evolve through time. Plantation, trimming, cutting, harvests... the seasons, the weather, but above all the passion and pleasure to continue their parents' history and prepare that of their children, gives rhythm to their work.

The cooperative cellars, an essential role

They are a vital link in the chain, as they transform the winegrowers' harvest into wine.

Founded in the 30s by the winegrowers at the time, in order to bring together production tools, it is now their grandchildren that continue their actions, maintaining the solidarity and cooperation spirit.

The cellars follow technological evolutions and their tools are more and more efficient, ensuring traceability and quality. The vineyard technicians accompany and advise the winegrowers in their work in the vineyard and the oenologists create quality wines, in equation with market demands and the desires of each cellar, in other words the winegrowers.

Terre de Vignerons, is nearly 1.000.000 hectoliters produced per year, between all 14 cooperative cellars.

Our lines and production teams

Divided between 2 sites Saint-Vincent de Pertignas (33) and Landerrouat (33), our production lines pack in bottles and BIB the wines of the different cellars.

This corresponds to 2 production sites, 5 bottling lines and 1 BIB line, operating all day to prepare final products.
Bottling, labeling, packing, palletizing, stocking, shipping... everything is taken care of by 100 collaborators, permanently making sure that tools and procedures are correctly used.

Terre de Vignerons, is 275.000 hectoliters, 36.000.000 bottles and 500.000 BIB that come out of our lines each year, 27.000 m² stocking space, 54.000 hl of tanks.

And tomorrow ? Terre de Vignerons will be 50.000.000 bottles and 1.000.000 BIB.

Participative governance

The cooperative is a human adventure with a lot at stake as it preserves activities and jobs. Well organized, it makes it easier to make decisions and make place for market evolutions and adaptions, allowing us to always improve our offer.

Concerning us, we have chosen a small yet operational control council with experience in production, technical, marketing and commercial, development, management and human resources.

Weekly meetings permit diffusing information, communicating together, following and making quick decisions. This council also called "Directoire", often reports to a surveillance council composed of cooperative cellar presidents.
The members being at the heart of Terre de Vignerons, they represent the cellars' and winegrowers' point of view.

Human values as foundations and ambitions

Terre de Vignerons was established thanks to passionate men and women, at the service of their work and their land.
